This small town on the Yucatan
coast is enjoyable, Playa del Carmen town is changing quickly and has a large
numbers of new hotels, boutiques and restaurants have opened in recent years.
The Playacar complex just south of the town center now includes more than a
dozen luxury hotels. ...from simple hand made rustic cabanas to
spectacular Grand resorts in Playacar, or hidden away tiny hotel spas... there are
accommodations for every budget and style.

In this ancient land, where the
majestic turquoise caribbean sea meets white, cool soft sand beaches you will
also meet the warm and welcoming hospitality of the Maya people... Here you can
dive amazing reefs, snorkel and see wondrous sea life, tour ancient
archeological sites, Lay all day in a hammock or stroll the walk way lined with
shops, sliver, arts and crafts, experience great restaurants and much much
more!!! Beachfront
For some people, a view of the water is essential, it relaxes the mind and
soothes the soul, the sound of the waves during any time of day are not only
calming to our overstressed bodies but also have a nurturing and healing effects.
Here you will find a few excellent options for a beachfront small (or larger)
hotel. Depending on the season and of course the quality, the cost ranges
between $65 - $250 per night.
During the busier times of year (Holidays
and Spring), it is not easy to find a beachfront property in playa that has not
been pre booked almost a 3 months in advance, however, because of the size of
town, and it being so small you can walk to the beach from anywhere in no time,
it is quick and easy to get around.
 The Off beach hotels in
many cases offer great value for your money, because they are not on the beach,
they usualy have a nice swimming pool, larger comfortable rooms with extra amenities
and the cost ranges from $45 - $150 per night.
Either way you can't go there is
an advantage to everything, and for many of us, when price is a serious concern,
off beach hotels offer excellent accommodations for a great price.
If you need a familiar hotel
you will find the hotels we thought would suite a family traveling together
with children or a few couple that enjoy traveling together. Most of
these hotels have units that include a fridge and air conditioning or
Ceiling fans sometimes both. Some offer 1, 2 or 3 bedroom units.
The All inclusive we chose have
a kids club which usually means that if you are traveling with a children 4 -
12 years old there are plenty of organized activities to keep them occupied
while parents can enjoy some free time.
These are a few of the lovely
romantic properties we would like to suggest for a getaway for 2 or even if
you are going with your kids you will find them very appealing. Some are
located right in town and a few on the beach. We chose them because they each
have a very enchating quality about the units or the immediate area they

Looking
for an adult only getaway? There are several all along the Mayan
Riviera. It's not that they don't like kids... they just want to offer
a very quiet and peaceful setting for those that really need it. Some
properties have a minimum age guideline of 12 or 16.
Playa del Carmen has worked to attract smaller hotels - only a
handful of them have more than 40 rooms - and there is one to fit any traveler's
budget. Bigger hotels can be found in Playacar. New hotels open every week, so
just look around for a place that suits your style.
